How to make a work order in three steps.
Step 1: Describe the job
Begin from a preset or a blank page, set the work order number and dates, and add the customer and the site address.
Step 2: List tasks and materials
Add each task or part as a row. Rename Qty to Hours where it helps, and show prices only if the order includes costs.
Step 3: Approve and download
Add Approved by and Completed by lines, choose a style, and download the PDF with Pro for your team or client.
What a work order includes.
Every template covers these for you. Fill in the fields and nothing important gets left out.
A work order number
A unique number with your own label, such as WO No. or Job No., so every job can be traced.
Customer and site
Who requested the work, and a second address for the site so the crew knows where to go.
Dates that matter
Date labels renamed to fit the job, for example Scheduled and Due by, with any you do not use hidden.
Tasks, parts and hours
A row for each task or part, with columns renamed to Hours or Units and prices on or off.
Job details
Detail fields such as Assigned to, Priority, Site contact or Vehicle no., added as label and value rows.
Approval and sign-off
Approved by and Completed by signature lines, with notes and terms for safety or scope.
