How to make a service report in three steps.

What is a service report?

A service report records a visit to a customer's site: the problem reported, the work carried out, the parts used and the time spent. It is also called a job sheet or field service report.

What should a field service report include?

The customer and site, the visit date, the technician, the equipment involved, a description of the work, parts and hours, and a customer signature. Add any other fields your trade uses, such as serial numbers or meter readings.

Is a service report the same as an invoice?

No. The report records the work, while an invoice requests payment for it. Many businesses send the signed report alongside an invoice made with the invoice generator.

Can I make a job sheet with this?

Yes. Name the document Job Sheet, rename the number and date labels, and keep only the sections you need.
