What to include on a plumbing invoice
Service call or trip charge
Show the dispatch or diagnostic fee on its own line, and note whether it's credited toward the repair.
Labor hours and rate
Record time on site and the technician's rate. After-hours or emergency premiums should be labeled clearly.
Parts with model numbers
List fixtures, valves and appliances with size and model number. It helps with warranty claims and future repairs.
Code and permit items
Note permit fees and code-required upgrades, such as expansion tanks or venting, so the client understands why they were added.
