Roofing Invoice Template
Roofing jobs are measured in squares, layers and pitch, and insurance adjusters often read the invoice as closely as the homeowner does. Tear-off, decking, underlayment and shingles are itemized so the numbers match the scope. There's room for claim numbers and warranty details too.

Every square, every layer, clearly billed.
What to include on a roofing invoice
Squares and pitch
Record the roof area in squares and note steep pitch or multiple stories, which affect labor and safety costs.
Tear-off and decking
Show the number of layers removed and any decking replaced. Decking condition is often unknown until the old roof comes off, so price it per sheet.
Insurance claim number
When the work is part of a claim, include the claim number and adjuster's name. It keeps payments from the carrier and the homeowner straight.
Warranty details
List the manufacturer warranty and your workmanship guarantee with their terms. Homeowners keep this invoice for years.

Billing tips for roofers.
Set a per-sheet decking price upfront
Agree on the rate in the contract so replacement found during tear-off is billed without debate.
Bill supplements with documentation
Insurance jobs often involve supplements for items the initial estimate missed. Invoice them on separate lines with photos attached.
Collect a materials deposit
Shingles and underlayment are ordered before work starts. A deposit covers that outlay if the job is delayed or canceled.
