Nanny Invoice Template
Nannies are paid by the hour, but the week rarely runs exactly to plan. Regular hours, overtime, mileage and reimbursed outings each have a line here, with the dates covered at the top. Families get a clear record for payday, and you get a consistent way to track every hour.

What to include on a nanny invoice
Dates and hours worked
List each day or week with start and end times. Families and payroll services both work from these numbers.
Overtime at the agreed rate
Show regular and overtime hours on separate lines, with the overtime rate. Overtime for household workers is governed by federal and state law, so confirm what applies.
Mileage and reimbursements
Driving the children in your own car, outings and supplies you paid for belong on separate lines from wages, with receipts.
Guaranteed hours and paid time off
If your agreement guarantees weekly hours or paid holidays, show them even in weeks the family didn't need you. It keeps pay steady and matches what you both signed.

Billing tips for nannies.
Put a work agreement in place first
Agree on the rate, overtime, guaranteed hours, holidays and sick days in writing before you start. The invoice then just applies what you've both signed.
Track hours every day
Write down start and end times daily, or keep a shared timesheet. It settles questions about late pickups and early starts before payday.
Bill nanny shares per family
When you care for children from two families together, send each family its own invoice with its share of the hours and costs.
