Is this invoice generator free?

Yes, completely. Create and download as many invoices as you like. There is no sign-up, no trial period and no watermark on your PDF.

How do I save my invoice as a PDF?

Select Download PDF. Your browser's print dialog opens with only the invoice on the page. Choose Save as PDF as the destination and the file is ready to send.

Can I download my invoice as a Word or Excel file?

Yes. Choose Word or Excel next to the Download button. Word gives you an editable .docx, and Excel gives you an .xlsx whose totals keep working with formulas. Both open in Google Docs and Google Sheets too. Prefer to start from a file? Get the free Word or Excel template.

Where is my invoice saved?

Drafts are saved automatically in your browser on this device, so you can close the tab and pick up where you left off. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.

Can I add my logo?

Yes. Upload a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG in the Your business section, or drag the file onto it. Large images are resized so your draft stays light.

Can I change the currency and date format?

Yes. Choose any ISO currency and the number and date style of your country under Format. The invoice updates instantly.

How do I add tax, a discount or a deposit?

Use the Totals section. Rename tax to VAT, GST or sales tax and set the rate, apply a percentage or fixed discount, and enter any amount already paid to show the balance due.

Can I send the invoice and get paid online?

With Pro, invoices go out by email or link with a secure Pay button, read receipts and automatic reminders. The free generator is for PDFs you send yourself.

What payment terms should I use?
